How Strange

A few scenes from an evening of ineffective enemas and botched catheterizations:

A quote from maintenance:

"How did he get it on all three walls AND the ceiling?"

A poem:

How strange that pain
has pitched it's tent
at the place of excrement

Here's me as of 5pm on Monday...

Special thanks to Roger Brooks who flew down all the way from NYC to sit watch with me through a sleepless night of screaming, moaning, and pain.... patiently praying and reading from the book of common prayer rite for the sick... what a good friend.

  1. Very strange!
    Sad it's true
    We'll keep praying HARD
    For You
    "Lord, let Dave
    Go and go
    Ease his pain
    Let things flow
    Keep his eyes
    Fixed on YOU
    Help the Docs
    And nurses too
    Do what's right
    Be Your hands
    Neat and clean
    By Your Command!!"

    Betsy, Bob and the Booths
are praying for a good nights rest
    RELIEF and clean walls...
    Hey Dave, you're the BEST!
    All Our Love to you
    and the WHOLE Family!!

  3. Dave...you give the hospital gown a "new look"!! Why didn't I look that good in mine?! While you are there you should come up with a plan to start a fashion show on hospital gowns & then you could be the next Vogue or Cosmo!! We Love & miss you!!
